It is an honor to serve as pastor of Saint Mary Catholic Church here in Garden City. I am grateful for the faith, generosity, and steadfast commitment that define our parish family, and it is a blessing to walk with you as your priest.
For generations, Saint Mary has been a spiritual home where people gather to worship, grow in faith, and serve one another. As our community and ministries continue to grow, we also recognize that our current facilities do not meet the many needs of our parish.
I invite you to join me in Our Faith, Our Future, a special parish appeal focused on providing for the next chapter of Saint Mary Catholic Church. This appeal builds on the last appeal that concluded in the summer of 2026, which allowed us to gather $2.3 million in seed money for our building project. The objective of this new appeal is to raise the funds needed to break ground and build a new parish center and school addition — providing dedicated rooms for faith formation, ministry, fellowship, meetings, school classrooms, and administration, while ensuring full accessibility for parishioners of every age and mobility.
This moment calls us to prayer, unity, and sacrificial generosity. I ask you to prayerfully consider your role in this appeal.

Through your faithful stewardship, Our Lord has blessed Saint Mary with remarkable progress over the last three years — renovated classrooms for 7th and 8th grade, an off-site rectory that freed up office space, and new air conditioning in the parish center and school.
Today, both our parish office and parish center continue to face tremendous, costly challenges — including failing plumbing, outdated electrical systems, and spaces with limited accessibility. Our school, Parish School of Religion, Order of Christian Initiation, and other ministries continue to flourish, but we simply lack sufficient room to house them.
After much prayerful discernment, Saint Mary is embarking on the next chapter with Our Faith, Our Future. This three-year appeal seeks to raise
$4 million to construct a new multi-purpose building addressing the vital needs of both the parish and the school.
This appeal will fund the construction of a new multi-purpose building, replacing the current parish center with everything on one accessible ground level.

In accordance with Diocesan policy, Saint Mary must secure two-thirds of the total project cost in cash and pledges before we can break ground. This three-year appeal will bridge the remaining gap to bring us within reach of building a lasting home for our parish family.
Saint Mary seeks to raise a minimum of $4 million through this Appeal. Each family or individual is asked to prayerfully consider a pledge paid over a period of up to three years. A 10% down payment is kindly requested on multi-year pledges, though it is optional.
