PSR Enrollment for the 2026 - 2027 year will begin on August 8th & 9th after all the weekend Masses. If your child was not baptized at St. Mary's Church, please bring a copy of their Baptismal Certificate with you when you enroll.

Starting August 10th you can enroll your child in person in the parish office.  Office hours are Monday 9am-12pm, or Tuesday - Friday from 9am-12pm or 2pm -5pm.  If your child was not baptized at St. Mary's Church, please bring a copy of their Baptismal Certificate with you when you enroll. 

Comenzando el 10 de agosto pueden inscibir a su hijo/a en persona en la oficina parroquial.  Las horas de oficina son Lunes 9am-12pm, o Martes a Viernes de 9am-12 o de 2pm-5pm. Religious Education 1st - 12th Grade 

Welcome to St. Mary Parish School of Religion (PSR).  It is our privilege to be walking this faith journey with your family.  Parents, as the first educators of your children in the Catholic faith, we are here to assist you in helping your children further their religious education and preparing them for their Sacraments.   

The Parish School of Religion (PSR) is the religious education program at St. Mary Parish for children that attend a non-Catholic school, and we offer religious instruction and sacramental preparation for students in 1st through 12th grade. 

The mission of the St. Mary Parish School of Religion (PSR) is to educate the youth of our parish in the teachings and ways of the Catholic faith.  The religious education program offers the students the opportunity to not only learn about their Catholic faith, but to also develop their relationship with God the Father, Jesus His Son, and God the Holy Spirit as they continue their journey of lifelong learning in the Catholic faith.

First Holy Communion - Primera Comunion

To enroll your child for First Communion please read below and then click the link.  Para inscribir a su hijo para las clases de Primera Comunion por favor de leer lo siguente y haga clic en el enlace.     

First Communion Sacramental preparation is a two-year program for students in first grade or older who do not attend a Catholic school. Students will receive religious instruction for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion. We also provide instruction for older students who have not yet received these sacraments. 

Families who wish for their children to receive First Holy Communion: 

  • Must be registered members of St. Mary's Church and must be attending weekend Masses.   
  • Parents must attend informational meetings.  More information will be given when student is enrolled.         
  • If the student was not baptized at St. Mary's Church, you must provide a copy of their Baptismal Certificate at the time of enrollment.
  • First year students will attend class on Tuesdays from 6:00 - 7:30 pm.
  • Second year students will attend class on Wednesdays from 6:00 - 7:30 pm.
  • Students will receive both the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion during their second year of preparation.
  • All students must be enrolled by August 31st.
  • Classes will start in September.

El programa de preparación para el Sacramento de Primera Comunión es de dos años para estudiantes de primer grado o mayores que no asisten a una escuela Católica. Los estudiantes recibirán instrucción para los Sacramentos de Primera Reconciliación y de Primera Comunión. También la preparación es para los estudiantes de mayor edad que todavía no han recibido esto Sacramentos.  
Familias que desean que su hijo/a reciba su Primera Comunión:   
  • Deben ser miembros registrados de la Iglesia Sta. María y asistiendo a Misa los fines de semana.       
  • Padres deben asistir a juntas de información. Se les dará más información cuando inscriban a su hijo.
  • Estudiantes ya deben ser bautizados. Si su hijo no fue bautizado en Sta. Maria, por favor de proveer una copia de la Acta de Bautismo al tiempo de inscribirlo.
  • El primer año de preparación las clases seran los martes de 6:00 - 7:30 pm.
  • El segundo año de preparacion las clases seran los miercoles de 6:00 - 7:30 pm.
  • Los estudiantes recibiran los dos Sacramentos de Primera Reconciliación y Primera Comunión durante su segundo año de preparación.
  • Todos los estudiantes deben ser inscritos para el 31 de agosto.

Continued Faith Formation - Formacion de Fe Continuada 

CFF are classes for students who have already recieved their First Communion and are in 3rd - 6th Grade.  Las clases de FFC son para los alumnos que ya recibieron su Primera Comunion y que estan en los grados 3ero - 6to. 

Although the preparation for Sacraments are very important, please remember your child can continue to learn more about the Catholic faith at all ages.  Even though your child is not preparing to receive a Sacrament this year, please consider enrolling them in the Parish School of Religion classes.  Classes will start in October and will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 - 7:30 pm.  The enrollment fee is $35.00. 

La preparacion de los Sacramentos es muy importante, por favor recuerden que su hijo/a pueden continuar aprendiendo mas de su fe Catolica en todas las edades. Aunque su hijo no se esta preparando para recibir un Sacramento este año, por favor considere inscribirlo/la en las clases de Formacion de Fe Continuada. Las clases empiezan en octube y seran los miercoles por la tarde de 6:00 - 7:30 pm.  Cuota de inscripcion es de $35.00.

Pre-Confirmation 7th Grade 

St. Mary Parish provides a two-year program for Confirmation, starting in 7th grade.  Youth wishing to begin the two-year program must be attending weekend Masses at St. Mary Church and participate in the parish Confirmation program.   Classes for 7th Graders will take place on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30pm. If your child was not baptized at St. Mary Church, a copy of their Baptismal Certificate must be provided before the student can attend class. Classes will begin in September, and all students must be enrolled by the deadline of August 31st.  The enrollment fee is $40.00. 

La Iglesia de Sta. Maria ofrece un programa de dos años para Confirmacion, a partir del grado 7. Un joven que desea empezar el programa de dos años debe estar asistiendo a Misa los fines de semana en Sta. Maria y participar en el programa de Confirmacion.  Las clases para los del grado 7 seran los miercoles de 7:00 - 8:30 pm.  Si su hijo/a no fue bautizado en la Iglesia de Sta. Maria, necesitamos una copia de su Acta de Bautismo antes de que su hijo/a pueda empezar las clases. Las clases empiezan en septiembre, y todos los estudiantes deben ser inscritos para el 31 de agosto. Habra una cuota de inscripcion de $40.00.

 8th Grade Confirmation - New Students

Although St. Mary Parish provides a two-year program for Confirmation, some students get a late start.  For new students in 8th grade, we offer a one -year program but with some extra requirements. Youth wishing to begin the 8th grade Confirmation program must be attending weekend Masses at St. Mary Church and participate in the parish Confirmation program.  One extra requirement will be that students must attend part of The 99 youth group. Also parents will be required to attend a monthly faith formation class with their students.  More information will be given about the requiremnts at the first class.  Classes for 8th Graders will take place on Sunday evenings from 5:00 - 6:30pm.  If your child was not baptized at St. Mary Church, a copy of their Baptismal Certificate must be provided before the student can attend class. Classes will begin in September, and all students must be enrolled by the deadline of August 31st.  The enrollment fee is $40.00.

Maria ofrece un programa de dos años para Confirmacion, algunos estudiantes empiezan tarde.  Para los estudiantes nuevos del grado 8, ofrecemos un programa de un año, pero con unos requisitos extras. Los jovenes que desean empezar el programa de Confirmation del grado 8, deben estar asistiendo a Misa los fines de semana en Sta. Maria y participar en el programa de Confirmacion.  Un requisito extra sera que tendran que asistir  a parte del grupo de jovenes "The 99." Tambien los padres tendran que asistir a una formacion de fe una vez al mes con su hijo/a.  Se les dara mas informacion en la primera clase. Las clases para los del grado 8 seran los domingos de 5:00 - 6:30 pm.  Si su hijo/a no fue bautizado en la Iglesia de Sta. Maria, necesitamos una copia de su Acta de Bautismo antes de que su hijo/a pueda empezar las clases. Las clases empiezan en septiembre, y todos los estudiantes deben ser inscritos para el 31 de agosto. Confirmation High School Students 

St. Mary Parish provides a High School Confirmation program for students in 9th - 12th grade.  Although this is a one -year program, the High School students are required not only to attend weekly class but to also attend weekly youth group meetings as part of their Confirmation preparation.  Classes take place on Sunday starting at 5:00 - 6:00 pm and continue with "The 99" Youth Group Meeting at 6:00 - 7:30 pm. Students must also be attending weekly Mass at St. Mary Church.  Parents must also attend monthly scheduled faith formation sessions.  If your student was not baptized at St. Mary Church a copy of their Baptismal certificate must be provided before the student can attend class.  Classes will begin in September, and all students must be enrolled by August 31st. The enrollment fee is $40.00. 

La Iglesia de Sta. Maria ofrece un programa de Confirmacion de High School para los estudiantes en los grados del 9 al 12. Aunque este programa es de un año, los estudiantes tendran que no solamente asistir a clases los domingos pero tambien tendran que asistir al grupo de jovenes "The 99" como parte de los requisitos del la preparacion de Confirmacion.  Las clases seran los domingos de 5:00 a 6:00 pm y luego sera la junta de jovenes "The 99" de 6:00 a 7:30 pm.  Los estudiantes tambien deben asistir a Misa todos los fines de semana en la Iglesia de Sta. Maria. Los padres tambien tendran que asistir a clases de formacion de fe una vez al mes. Si su hijo/a no fue bautizado en la Iglesia de Sta. Maria, necesitamos una copia de su Acta de Bautismo antes de que su hijo/a pueda empezar las clases.  Las clases empiezan en septiembre, y todos los estudiantes deben ser inscritos para el 31 de agosto. Class Cancellation Policy: 

During inclement weather, we will follow the cancellation guidelines given by the local school district.  If on a given day the local school district or St. Mary School cancel school because of weather, classes for Parish School of Religion will also be cancelled.  Look to the local television or listen to the local radio stations for cancellation announcements.  An announcement will also be made to you by text and also displayed on this website.
